Impmon Alter-X model render
Summon: Event Horizon
Target: All EnemiesType: Null · MagicPower: 60Hits: 2Cost: 390 SP

Impmon Alter-X's signature technique: a dual-handed manipulation of local spacetime, contained and delivered through his Black Digitron field. Nullifies unfavorable attribute compatibility. If the target has been hit with an Ice and/or Fire Attack: increased damage.

The Left Hand: Cosmic Aurora (String Compression)

His left hand seizes the local 1-D spatial strings and crushes their vibration to a dead stop. Since string vibration governs both mass and temperature, forcing them to absolute stillness collapses the local field to Absolute Zero. It manifests as a slow, shimmering aurora, not because light is "freezing," but because the collapsing spatial geometry bends and lags the light passing through it, like gravitational lensing given color.

The Right Hand: Infinite Friction (String Excitation)

The right hand does the inverse: flooding the strings with raw energy, driving their vibration toward infinite frequency. The quantum foam boils over, releasing catastrophic kinetic output as a field of pure friction, burning white-gold, every possible frequency of light generated simultaneously, oversaturating into white.

Fracturing Quantum Foam

Slamming his hands together forces two contradictory states, infinite vibration and total stillness, to occupy the same coordinate. The paradox can't resolve, so the underlying quantum foam shatters, and space-time collapses into a genuine singularity.

Black Digitron Containment: his Black Digitron density lets him cage the singularity without it consuming the surrounding Digital World, the same property that makes a Black Digitron subject hit harder and endure more is what lets his own body anchor the containment field. It actively braces against the collapse, which is why strain from this move; not raw combat, is the only thing that would ever threaten his control.

The Full Effect

  • Pull: the singularity's gravity locks the target in place, dragging their physical data toward the center. His X-Antibody-boosted speed is what lets him land this before a moving target can break line of sight.
  • Code Shred: caught between the dead-stopped and infinite-frequency fields, the target's armor, attributes, and secondary code layers are sheared away outermost-first, like peeling rather than crushing.
  • Extraction: what's left unravels into raw binary, drawn in and erased, leaving only the bare DigiCore, which drops directly into Impmon's hand as the singularity collapses.

Destroy

For a core beyond saving, he closes his fist. Data wiped, permanently.

Alter

For a friend corrupted by outside code or a virus program, he holds the core, uses his own X-Antibody as a scalpel to purge or rewrite the corrupted data, and returns it, saving them.

Keep

He can store a core, or draw a fraction of its clean data to briefly boost himself or borrow a technique once. Vaccine or Virus types only. Data types are structurally incompatible and can't be read this way due to his unfamiliarity in never being one.

Cosmic Aurora
Target: 1 EnemyType: Ice · PhysicalPower: 75Cost: 110 SP

The compression half of Event Horizon, thrown solo as a localized freeze strike rather than a full singularity. Halts a target's motion data without the containment payload. If the target has been hit with a Fire Attack: increased damage.

Infinite Friction
Target: 1 EnemyType: Fire · MagicPower: 75Cost: 110 SP

The excitation half thrown solo, a short-range burst of raw kinetic and thermal damage, used when a full Event Horizon is overkill. If the target has been hit with an Ice Attack: increased damage.

Description
Impmon Alter-X headshot

Impmon Alter-X is a Rookie-level Little Devil Digimon and the sidekick summon of his Tamer, called into battle directly through his phone. Where a standard Impmon runs on a short fuse, Alter-X is calm, sharp, and entirely his own master with complete trust in his trainer, a trait he attributes less to discipline and more to the sheer strength of the mutation running through him. Though sometimes his short fuse comes out during small arguments.

His coloring gives him away at a glance: the usual purple has burned off into gold while black clothing, black sclera, and a red iris betray a mark of his X-Antibody and the Black Digitron layered on top of it. The two influences read as a single design rather than two separate upgrades stacked on top of each other.

Traits
  • XAI Reading: STRONG. His X-Antibody activity is unusually potent, potent enough that it didn't just boost his stats, it mutated his attribute outright, flipping him from Virus to Vaccine.
  • Full mental control. No Rage Mode, no berserk state. He carries Black Digitron without losing himself to it, a rarity for the substance, regardless of what tier of Digimon carries it.
  • No slowdown. Black Digitron typically costs its carrier speed in exchange for raw power. His X-Antibody compensates for it entirely, leaving him just as fast as before, arguably faster, since Event Horizon depends on him closing distance before a target can react.
  • Still wants "uppies." The one condition he set before ever agreeing to get stronger. No matter how much raw power he's picked up along the way, he's stayed small enough to be carried, on purpose.
History

Meeting His Tamer

Began as an ordinary Impmon: Rookie level, Virus attribute, Little Devil type. He and his Tamer bonded over the two things that mattered most to a small, sly Digimon: powerful fictional characters and good food. (See the Tamer tab for how Alister ended up with a Digimon partner in the first place, it wasn't on purpose.)

Stupid Strong, Still Small

Impmon wanted power. Real, ridiculous, "stupid-strong" power. But he was clear about one condition from the start: whatever he became, he had to stay small enough for "uppies." Strength was never allowed to cost him that.

The X Program

At Impmon's own direct request, his Tamer and friend deliberately infected him with the X Program. Impmon, altering his own DigiCore in real time and incorporating the X Program into it himself. What emerged from that self-directed rewrite was his X-Antibody.

Feeling Reborn

Coming out the other side, he felt absurdly strong, stronger than he'd ever imagined being reborn this way could feel. And once he'd caught his breath, he figured there was a little further he could still go.

An Offer, With a Warning

His Tamer had come across a substance known as Black Digitron and offered it to Impmon, if he wanted one final boost. The warning came with it, plainly: he might lose his mind. Maybe worse.

Perfect Vessel

Impmon consumed it anyway, and his X-Antibody shifted once more. Because of the specific grade of his particular X-Antibody, when the change finished settling, he came out the other side looking different: gold where his purple used to be, black sclera, red iris, but with his normal attitude fully intact. The mutation that made him who he was turned out to be exactly what kept him himself, making him the perfect vessel for carrying both Black Digitron and X-Antibody at once.

Alister

Alister

Role: Tamer Occupation: Programmer Partner: Impmon Alter‑X

Alister never set out to be anyone's Tamer. He's a programmer first: someone who modifies systems until they work. Impmon happened as a side effect of that habit, not a goal he was chasing, and he's still getting used to the idea that a "system" turned out to have a Digital World on the other side of it.

He didn't know Digimon existed until one showed up because of something he did. Everything since has been a crash course, run at the same speed as everything else in his life: reactive, curious, and a little too willing to keep pulling a thread once he's started.

The COMP
Alister's COMP, closed Alister's COMP, open

What everyone else would call a phone, this is a COMP: an old handset he's pulled apart and rebuilt more times than he can count. It was never built to summon anything.

The Delfeed Incident

The App

He found Delfeed the way he finds most things: digging somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. A site with no clear owner and no clear purpose, quietly running on infrastructure that shouldn't exist. He signed up on his COMP mostly out of curiosity, the way he signs up for anything that looks like it's hiding something.

The Prediction

Delfeed's whole reputation is built on the faces it shows: people, and how they're going to die. Alister brushed it off as an elaborate hoax, right up until a friend's face turned up on his feed.

It Came True

Not long after, his friend died the same way Delfeed had shown. No amount of reasoning made that a coincidence, and no amount of walking away made it stop mattering to him.

Digging Deeper

He stopped treating Delfeed like a website and started treating it like a target. If it could predict something like that, there had to be a mechanism behind it: something reverse-engineerable, something he could pull apart and actually understand, or shut down before it happened to anyone else.

The Little Devil

What he actually found buried under the prediction front-end wasn't a prediction engine at all: it was a digital construction and deletion routine. His reverse engineering tripped it. The routine searched for a valid piece of data to pull through to defend itself from being tapped into, and Impmon's actual Digimon Type, Virus, was a sort of way to attempt to 'infect' and 'protect' itself. It didn't mean to summon him. And through that the app gave him complete privilege to Summon or retrieve the Impmon into this COMP or any COMP with said app.

Digital World

Alister has never been to the digital world, even though Impmon described it as a place worth going.
